      How do your treatments work?

Saxenda (Liraglutide), Wegovy (Semaglutide), and Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) are all prescription medications that support weight loss in different but effective ways.

Saxenda and Wegovy are injectable medications that work by reducing appetite and helping you feel full for longer, making it easier to manage portion sizes and cravings.

Mounjaro is also an injection that not only suppresses appetite but helps control blood sugar levels and reduces cravings, supporting sustained weight loss.

All treatments are prescribed following a clinical assessment to ensure they are right for you.

Are your weight loss treatrments safe?

All of the medications we prescribe are considered safe when used as directed by our healthcare team. However, like all medications, they can cause side effects.

What are the potential side effects of treatments?

The most common side effects of Saxenda and Wegovy include nausea, diarrhoea, and occasional digestive discomfort, particularly when starting treatment.

Mounjaro may also cause mild nausea, reduced appetite, or digestive upset, but many people find these settle over time.

Your pharmacist will discuss potential side effects with you in detail during your consultation to ensure you feel confident and informed before starting treatment.

To qualify for NHS-funded weight loss treatment, certain criteria must be met:

Yes, weight loss treatments can be combined with other weight loss methods, such as diet and exercise. In fact, this approach is a most effective way to lose weight and keep it off.

It takes about 4-6 weeks to see results from weight loss treatments. However, the amount of weight you lose will vary depending on the treatment you are using and your individual circumstances.

Are your treatments suitable for everyone?

Weight loss treatments are not suitable for everyone. If you have any underlying health conditions, you should talk to your doctor before starting any weight loss treatment.

How much do weight loss treatments cost?
